To cut a long story short we rushed her to the vet who thought her problem was the same as Max's
On getting X-ray results the vet has found two areas on the X-ray around the knee that he cant explain and has referred Pepsi to a specialist for a months time. Pepsi is now on pain relief and rest,
Pepsi has had her pain relief increased and is in alot of discomfort.
Roll on April 13th when Pepsi sees a specialist, its heart breaking seeing her in such discomfort and pain :(
The reason why Pepsi screamed so bad and for so long when she originally hurt her leg last month was the tendon holding her knee in place had ripped, the knee bone was held in place because of the tendon, but this had over stretched and torn.
We have also been told Pepsi's left leg is probably going to end up the same way, you can see in detail on the x-ray link page above.
The specialist has told us the price of the surgery is around £1300 not including the consiltation fee.
We are now waiting to see if Pepsi's insurance will cover the costs.

Pepsi will have her operation on the 17th of May which is 6 days away, we are so nervous.

Pepsi cried all the way to the specialist she could sense there was something going on.
When we arrived at the specialists there was a huge choclate brown labrador in the waiting room, all happy to greet Pepsi as we walked (dragged lol) her in,
Pepsi as you can imagine wasnt quite as enthusiastic, her little eyes popped of her head.
Anyway to cut to the chase, the nurse told us all about what would happen with Pepsi, and sedated her whilst we were with
her as she could see how stressed Pepsi was aswell as how clingy she was to us.
We left Pepsi at around 9:30am and were told to give them a ring around 3:30pm to see how things were.
It was such a long day sitting and waiting, Margaret rang and was told Pepsi was still coming around from the anaesthetic but was doing ok.
At 5:30 we could bring her home, when we arrived the nurse told us all the do's and dont's of what to do over the next 3mths,
Then she took us through to get Pepsi, she looked so small huddled up in a cage, eyes all droopy, but her tailed wagged as soon as we walked in, bless her.
We couldnt wait to get her home her brother Max had missed her all day and was obviously stressed not to have his lil sis
with him again, they hate being apart.
To cut a long story short (ish) the operation has gone well but as you can image although on pain killers and antibiotics Pepsi is in considerable pain and discomfort.
She is cuddled up with her giant duck on her fav cushion as i type looking so pretty, as you can see from the photos below.
Brother and sister reunited, they are so close and love each other so much.
It will be 3mths before Pepsi is fully recovered but its so good to know that every day Pepsi will get stronger and stronger.
Pepsi sees our local vet in 10 days time to have a check up and her stitches removed.
